Rijk Zwaan USA Expands Team in Midwest and Northeast Regions

Rijk Zwaan USA is excited to announce the expansion of its team in the Midwest and Northeast regions, enhancing its commitment to providing exceptional service and innovative solutions to local growers and dealers. This expansion includes the addition of new representatives to the pickling cucumber team and more support for growing programs in crops such as cabbage, watermelons, peppers, and squash. By moving closer to customers, Rijk Zwaan USA aims to offer better local coverage, technical advice, and introduce advanced varieties to meet the evolving needs of the agriculture community.

We are thrilled to welcome three new Rijk Zwaan North American Representatives to our team! Frank Pennington joins as the Sales Manager for the East, bringing over 25 years of experience in sales and customer relations. With his extensive market knowledge and strong network of client relationships, Frank is poised to make a significant impact on product development and sales activities. Together with Eric Christianson, Sales Manager for the West, Frank will lead Rijk Zwaan’s Crop Specialist and Product Development team.

Ian Beiersdorf, the new Regional Product Development Representative for the Midwest, brings a background in plant breeding and a dedication to excellence. Based outside of South Bend, Indiana, Ian will focus on all crops for the region, particularly in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin.

The new Regional Product Development Representative for the Northeast, Jason Pratt, will focus on pickling cucumber activities in the Northeast. Working alongside Rob Grohs and Sam McGowen in the pickling cucumber seed trials, Jason will also collaborate with Ian on various projects, ensuring comprehensive coverage and support for growers in the northern pickling cucumber growing areas.

Our commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction continues as we develop and introduce advanced crop varieties tailored to local needs. We look forward to the positive impact that Frank, Ian, and Jason will bring to our team and the agricultural community.
